What we can do to help
A lot of issues with furnaces stem from a dirty condenser coil or blower compartment. These get dirty from dust and debris throughout your ventilation system. Having your furnace cleaned can prevent a lot of problems in the future.
Replacing your furnace isn’t always the only way to go, often times all you may need is repairs on your current one. If your furnace is not working at all or is giving you a hard time with starting up and staying on, these issues can be solved with diagnostic and repair. Replacements are expensive and we’re here to help you save money and live comfortably.
Sometimes, replacements are inevitable. Furnaces can reach the end of their cycle and it’s time to change them out. We know times like this are frustrating and stressful, so we work hard to make the process as affordable and easy for you so you can rest easy.
In Michigan, it’s necessary to keep our furnaces running at their highest efficiency. Having an annual furnace tune-up can make sure yours is. Tune-ups prevent furnace failure by solving minor issues as they come, rather than waiting for a huge issue that can be irreparable.
DIY Furnace Check-up
Though a furnace tune-up from a trained professional is recommended every one to two years, if you’re having issues with your furnace, here are some things you can do:
Check your thermostat
Make sure your thermostat has batteries first. If it does, then your thermostat may be programmed incorrectly, please refer to the manufacturer’s website for help.
Check your breaker
If the switch on the breaker that controls the furnace is tripped, your furnace will not function. Check for any trips in the breaker.
Check your filter
A clogged filter can restrict the air flow to your furnace which can cause the furnace to overheat. Replace the filter and see if that fixes your issue.
Check the pan
If the condensate pan is full of water, that can cause the sensor to shut the furnace off. The pan can be full due to a clogged drain line.
If the above solutions didn’t solve your problem, contact us and we can come out and determine the best solution for you.
